Where We Are

I just finished The Catalyst! Whoo!!!!!! There are a few rough spots I have to iron out. I’m going to let it cool for a few days while I reread Blood Lust and Save My Soul just to make sure character voices and mannerisms are all “correct” for these characters. Then I have to reread The Catalyst, make notes and do the edits that I know need to be done and polish up a few of the truly lazy and horrifically boring sentences that always make their way into a first draft. Then it goes to the betas.

While it’s with the betas, I will be working on book 4, LifeCycle. Book 4 is Tam and Cain’s book and I’m really excited about this one, too! I had the opportunity to give Tam a small cameo in The Catalyst (Luc and Anna make an appearance as well).

A part of The Catalyst besides bringing Jane and Cole into a full HEA, resolving their new conflict, and bringing Z and Fiona together, is showing Cain’s other side. He is still a badass you don’t want to cross, but he does care about his own kind. He’s very protective of his demons… seeing this side of Cain will make it possible for readers to see how he can be the hero of his own book. In fact, as villains becomes “good guys” and former good guys become villains, it’s a little hard to remember who we’re supposed to hate. This is by design. It’s all about perspective, baby.

At any rate, I had a good opportunity to lay a little Tam and Cain foreshadowing for their book which is coming up next.

And after that we’ll be moving on to Hadrian and Angeline’s full length book with HEA (book 5).

I’m not 100% sure, but book 6 may be the first book where we take a trip into the future that shows the results of the world that’s being created now.

I’m sticking with Zoe at least through book 5. Then I’ll probably need a break to write the Kitty books that are yelling at me to be written because I have some ideas I really want to write over there, too.
